A little about me: This year marks my 13th year as an educator. Before joining Sam Rosen, I taught at Kirkpatrick Elementary School, and prior to teaching, I worked in the banking industry.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Abel. While I don’t have children of my own, I am blessed with two amazing stepdaughters and two granddaughters.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Hello! My name is Yasmin Ibarra, and I will be your 2nd-grade dual language teacher this school year! I am a teacher, mother, and wife. I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, and earned my bachelor's degree from Texas Wesleyan University, where I studied early childhood bilingual education. I am looking forward to building relationships with my students and having a great school year at Sam Rosen! Go Eagles! 🦅

"Hello, I am Ms. Garcia and I teach 1st grade here at Sam Rosen Elementary!
I was born and raised here in Fort Worth, Texas, and I graduated from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!). I am the first person in my family to graduate from university, so I take great pride in that. In my free time, I love to read, hang out with family and friends, and travel. I also love to watch college football.
Growing up, I have always known that I wanted to become a teacher. I enjoy the process of watching students grow and seeing the amount of progress they have made, no matter how big or small."
