I was born in Fort Worth TX and actually attended Sam Rosen Elem. my 2^nd and 3^rd grade. This is my 4th year teaching Pre-K and love every bit of it. I am married and have 3 awesome kids of my own. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, watching football, and being outdoors.

Hello, my name is Marisol Diaz. I have been at Sam Rosen for 3 years! I have worked with pre-k as well as headstart for the past 9 years. I am married and have 3 kids. I enjoy doing outdoor activities such as exploring different parks, fishing, and camping. 

My passion is being in the classroom. I enjoy helping students achieve goals whether it is helping a 4 year old write his name, tie his shoe laces, or retelling a story in a drawing.

Dual Language Self Contained Pre-K

Hello! My name is Crystal Cortes, and I’m excited to join Sam Rosen Elementary as a bilingual Pre-K teacher. As a former Sam Rosen student, it’s an honor to return and give back to the community that helped shape me.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas Tech University and have a passion for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for young children. I previously worked in a preschool setting for six years, which deepened my love for early childhood education! 

In my free time, I enjoy shopping, collecting Pokémon cards, napping with my two cats Yin and Yang, and watching movies with my husband. I’m looking forward to a great year!

I am Maria Galvan and I’ve been helping as a substitute the past year. I am happy to say that I am now officially a part of the Sam Rosen Family and I am going to be a PK Teacher Assistant! My goal is to form a relationship with the students to further improve their education. I’m a mom of two and I always love to help my kids in any way I can.

Pre-Kindergarten Dual Language Teacher

I am thrilled to be part of the Sam Rosen Family!  I received my undergraduate degree from UNT and my postgrad from Grand Canyon University. I’ve been a teacher for about 20 years in various grade levels from PK to 4^th grade. This will be my 10^th year in FWISD. I am happily married to a wonderful man, and we have an amazing son who is 22 years old!  I am originally from Cali, Colombia. I travel there often to see my elderly parents (and to eat all my favorite things). I love enjoying time at the beach and I enjoy reading and participating in Zumba!

Pre-Kindergarten ESCE Self-Contained

I am a mother of two teenage boys that attend Eagle Mountain HS and recently moved to the FW area.  Previously, I lived and taught in the Houston area for about 10 years.   I moved to DFW about 7 years ago and love being here.   I have experience working in special education, general education, and with ESL populations in public school and in adult education courses.  I graduated from Brigham Young University in elementary education, with a TESOL minor and am certified in ESL, Generalist EC-4, and Special Ed.  I love meeting new people and enjoy traveling as well as reading all types of books.  I am currently in two women's book clubs and attend monthly.  I'm nerd at heart and love reading and gaining new experiences.
